Intel and the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation will honor the life of Intel co-founder Gordon Moore on June 1.
Moore died on March 24, 2023 at the age of 94. In addition to his leadership at Intel, Moore was a giant of the technology industry and one of America's leading philanthropists. Best known for Moore's Law and the creation of an iconic semiconductor company. In 2000, he and his wife Betty founded the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation. To date, the foundation has invested more than $5 billion to preserve the environment, advance science, improve patient care, and preserve the distinctive character of the Bay Area.
A tribute to Moore's life, work and legacy is scheduled for 1 p.m. June 1 PDT. In-person attendance will be limited to invitees only, but the event will be streamed live for everyone in the Intel Newsroom.
