Rocket Lab wins $14 million in satellite separation contracts

The two contracts will see the space launch services company supply 80 beam separation systems () to satellite manufacturers, one of which is Lockheed Martin, the prime contractor.

These beam-splitting systems used to attach satellites to rockets and launch them into space when the rocket reaches its intended orbit.

Previously, they were used, for example, on the International Space Station of NASA and in space shuttle missions.
